Overview

This is a course on introductory programming. It includes program design and development using pseudocode and algorithms. It builds on structured programming techniques and fundamentals of object-oriented programming using C#.NET 5 as the primary language of study.

Objectives

This course is an introductory level course. However, knowledge and skills acquired are expected to lay a rich foundation for a successful career in software development/engineering. The following are general objectives:

• Understanding the general application development paradigm.
• Understanding the fundamentals of programming such as variables, conditional and iterative execution
• Understanding methods and functions
• Be aware of the important topics and principles of software development
• Have the ability to design and write a computer program to solve specific problems
• Be able to use the latest version of Visual Studio Integrated Development Environment (IDE) & Visual Studio Code to create, debug and run simple C# programs.

Prerequisite:

• Digital Literacy Basic or its equivalent.
• Basic Arithmetic, Analytical thinking, and logical reasoning
