Overview

This course builds upon our Digital Literacy - Basic Course. It is intended for those who are currently comfortable with the computer system but need to learn advanced operations to be more proficient. More advanced concepts of the Microsoft Office Suite is covered, This includes advanced concepts and operations of Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System, the Microsoft Officer Suite 2019, the Internet, and the Cloud.

Objectives

The objectives of this course are:

• To offer advanced concepts in computers and Information Technology using MS Windows 10, MS Word 2019, MS Powerpoint 2019, MS Excel 2019, MS OneNote 2019, MS Outlook 2019, MS Publisher 2019.
• To offer concepts in Internet research, collaboration, and communication using search engines, MS Outlook 2019, and MS OneDrive.
• To expose participants to practical examples of advanced usage of the computer and the internet for communication and collaboration (business or private).
• To acquaint students with advanced procedures to create and share documents, presentations, worksheets, emails, and notes suitable for academic work, professional tasks, and personal use.
• To acquaint students with the process of properly selecting and installing applications from disks or using Microsoft Store for business operations, professional tasks, and personal use.
• To develop a project-oriented approach that allows learning by doing.
